The CEIP Annexa – Joan Puigbert is the name given to the school which is housed in a building dating from the first half of the 50s. It’s T-shaped with a master volume along the main street.
The building was built entirely to fit the street location. It was suggested that there should be an extension of regular classrooms and special classrooms with appropriate services, a gym or a multipurpose room.
The special classroom program proposal aims to reorganize all existing conventional classrooms and make the new building incorporate other mainstream special classrooms. This new special classroom building, the library, the music room, is attached to the dividing structure with the neighbouring building not the existing building in order to put the accent on its role and personality. The new volume will be the new entrance to the center, it has stairs and lifts in addition to the natural entrance to the courtyard.
All buildings are designed from a clear structural metal skeleton which is coated with industrial materials and construction elements.
