This great home is located in the resort of the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by a beatiful forest and it is just next to a ski slope. The 325m2 residence of Kicking Horse is the ideal place for weekend getaways for a family of five or more frequent guests.
The building protects your privacy from other homes in the neighborhood, but also keeps focused views of the beautiful mountains. It consists of two volumes, one is designated for bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen, and a smaller one where the living room and the main dining room are. Between them we find the staircase and the two entrances to the main house which are located on opposite sides and at different levels.
The linear volume is occupied by a semi-basement garage, bathroom, room facilities and a games room. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom, and between them there is a large kitchen with an island and eating space.
The other bedrooms (2 more) are located in the free space under the sloping roof. All are equipped with large beds.
The composition of volumes and materials (mainly wood) differs from the typical wooden architecture of the region, it is more angular and Scandinavian. It is also important that the property has all electrical systems, heating and safety monitoring systems which can be remotely controlled.
