KIRIAKE: small park in Kumamoto (Japan)

We loved this park located in a small, triangular sunny city in the Japanese Kumamoto. Both its design and the materials used are quite peculiar, further demonstrating that a city can be a forest, a true shelter from the sun, and cool foot step, without the need to resort to using too many materials.
The small park KIRIAKE consists of three pools, a shape, resembling umbrella (newly arrived from outer space), some scattered banks of different size, and WC. To produce these massive structures, galvanized steel, stone were used and a part of the pavement texture reminds about typical Japanese garden sand. All items feature irregular design, making the park appealing due to its uniqueness.
