This project was developed to adapt to a living space in what had once been a facility of the Richmond Fire (Melbourne, Australia). We present you a three bedroom house built on three floors with a modern arrangement of double height spaces and inclined facades, however, the original brick walls are preserved.
The combination of white walls with red brick walls has been impressive as it is a perfect blend of new and old, letting the natural light come through in all open spaces. We are amazed that the windows of the walls have been treated as pictures as they are framed in the same way that the pictures are placed in the living room.
The master bedroom is on the first floor. The facade of the house follows the concept of the building, including the old wooden door at the entrance, but everything is finished with aluminum panels and glass.
