This curious tower has been awarded in a design competition for the new police headquarters and further expansipn of some old buildings in the Belgian city Charleroi. The police offices are located in a structure that is 75 meters high and its shape looks like an oval-shaped plant . The building features a unique brick exterior with blue finishes, but probably the most beautiful thing is the distribution of the elements of the facade.

The project is adapted to the low-energy standards and a special consideration is given to the passive behavior. The refurbishment of historic buildings is good practice which we can see today. It is expected that once the project is completed in the end of 2014, it will become by no doubt a new landmark in the green European city.
