Restoration of this historic farmhouse from Elizabethan period was made in 2004-2005. As the owner claims, renovating buildings of this age is never easy but the results are extremely rewarding. The building has become a modern living space suitable for 21st century.
Park Farm was suffering from a potentially lethal case of rot, due to timbers decaying and other things related to its age. Some of these defective timbers were removed, some replaced and some joints were also added and remade. The interiors has been updated to more contemporary wood materials. The kitchen were made of chestnut and beautiful handcrafted staircase and bathroom furniture were made of walnut. The house has become a very comfortable and beautiful place to live in. [Source]

Israeli designer Ron Arad will see the opening of his super modern Design Museum in Holon Isreal just outside of Tel Aviv in March of this year. On hand for the ceremony to honor Arad will be a who’s who of design greats including Ingo Maurer, Patricia Moroso, and Havier Mariscal. In the past we have also reviewed quite a bit of the modern furniture designs from Ron Arad that like the Design Museum have a distinct look and feel that is unmistakable. Enjoy the pictures of the Design Museum. Via Yatzer
