Pied a Terre: unique transformation in Leiden

Pied a Terre is the reconstruction of an ancient house in the Dutch city of Leiden. It is the second home of a family living in Paris. The client requested the project to make maximum use of the limited space available and the flow of natural light.
We like the furniture on the ground floor, the oak staircase and the storage space doors that are semi – hidden.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. In order to provide a good natural light, there are large sliding doors between the living room and backyard, while upstairs there is a loft next to the master bedroom and two skylights in the lobby. All transformations that made this house a new, shiny place left the original façade of the house completely intact.
