The transformation of a Victorian house in London

July 16, 2012 1

Today’s project presents the transformation of a house from 80ties to on an old Victorian town house, located in Wolseley Road (north London). We are particularly attracted by the unique garden design.
The transformation encompassed the ground floor, and has made more space for kitchen, a dining room and living room which underwent a radical change in design. New steel structure reinforced the foundations of the old house. As you can see from the photos, the natural light flows in the house and creates a sense of harmony.
Another interesting solution is the roof garden that provides pleasant views from the top floors of the house. Stone and wood textures are used both in the courtyard and garden.
